I doubt it very much.
The structural columns beneath grade usually don't care (are are designed without regard to) what happens above ground and what the building above will look like.
Typically the driving factor for their layout and alignment is the parking grid of any parking structure beneath the entire complex (in the case of underground parking) that's built to maximize and optimize parking space within the driveway that leads into and out of said parking structure.
In almost any building, this is what almost certainly invariably determines the columnular structural layout.
Added to that, in this case is also the fact that there's underground stores (and pedestrian tunnels) beneath this structure as well joining even buildings across the street and those also have their own driving maximizing factors (for the retail space) which are themselves slave to the parking structural grid.
By the time you get to grade, the structure does whatever gymnastics it needs to to carry the load to those sub-grade columns while also allowing the above structure to bear whatever design the architects choose (in this case that "45 degree" cut angle.) I think it's just a design motif to be honest - and one that was rather ubiquitous for a lot of modernist and brutalist buildings from the 1970's and early to mid '80's .
In the case of the Apple store - once again, architect's design prerogative - by which I mean, notice that although the outline is seemingly following that 45 degree alignment to the corner, the actual structural beams and layout it's sitting on (they seem to be constructing it on a structural "pad") is actually aligned parallel to the street's North-South grid of the adjacent street - which should tell you right away how the structural grid below is organized.
