Is it just me or does that expansion plan look an awful lot like the current YUL (Montreal-Trudeau aka Dorval)?

Very very similar yes. But most terminal layouts share very similar characteristics.

I dont think it looks anything like YUL
Dorval is constricted by the runways. Basically its a rectangle with fingers out of three of the four corners

I would love to hear some news about Port Alberta?
Jim R said not to expect any big announcements in light of the crash, I assume this means PA as well?

Don't be surprised if YEG and YYC see decreases very soon. I wouldn't expect many announcements regarding PA.

I am just hoping the government takes their own advise and starting projects when the economy is cool and things are cheaper to play catch up so when things do return.

YYC, YVR and YUL all reported decreases in passenger traffic in September (over Sep 2007 numbers).

Could be a start to a cooling off of domestic and transborder demand after years of steady increases (since 2002 i think).

Didn't both AC and Westjet announce a noticeable drop in October and November bookings??

That means October numbers should be down too at most major airports in Canada. Although our major airports may still manage small annual gains based on the first two quarters of the year.

You're right, we will see declines soon given that the overall economy is slowing.
