Well I'm back from my 3 days of relative visitation. I should have mine sent to you Mo by tomorrow. I've been just too busy though during the last few days.

Wow! I love New Essex too! Whoever thought of that was a truly brilliant man of Einstein proportions!

Dac .

Flyersfan and CGII are doing 2 of 4 bridges,The 2 of you can decide which one to do
The other two i might just do standard pylon types without any frills to keep the file size low .

The city-west water span is 1200 m / 3940'
City-Airport span is 980m / 3215'

Should i bring the land areas closer together to reduce the spans ??

Which places would be best for the nice bridges ??

Do we need 4 bridges ? If anyone has some ideas on the roadways/highways and subways and the grid layout speak now !
I wouldn't mind changing it a bit , i think there are too many odd shaped blocks

What do you guys think of the 'picture only' thread ? we can still post here ,i thought it would be nice to just have pics in the other one.
I can update every Sunday night, a new post for each update + post the current pics in the header post on page 1 .

Don't pull the land closer, I want to do a long-ass truss bridge, ie Firth of Fourth.

So I'll finish mines today. Here's my block:
3 towers for now, 1 residential and 2 office, the twins are 710 feet tall and the residential is 645 to roof . The Office towers are both twins and are connected by a dome at the base. Behind these towers (on the side facing CGII's tower) there is a residential tower. I don't think this will fit in with it's surroundings.
Not done with it but yeah, I guess I took it too seriously when Mo said he was planning on sticking to a futuristic city. Should I just make a new block with another type of architecture? What do you guys think?

Mo- I was wondering if it was O.K. if I made a tunnel connecting to the station on Block 2 since I made a dome (atrium) at the base of my towers.

That looks great!!!

I hope we have all kinds of buildings in this city... 20 of the same building would be boring...

BTW, mine should be done sometime during the weekend...

Well, I was thinking yellow since yellow seems like a futuristic color. Green would be nice too but if it fits in more to the surroundings with the colors you said then yeah it's o.k. Reflective Gold would be nice. I actually darkened the yellow in my model since it looked bad and made it more goldish.

Oh, not a subway station, but a tunnel leading to the station under Dacs block. But yeah, it's o.k. since I would have to edit the land scape and it would just take up memory. Besides, it would barely be shown since the city would be HUGE! and full of cool towers.

Good points , better to use space on more viewed things .
You could do another subway entrance on the south or east side of the lot if you want

When we have enough buildings to start doing street level shots i will add light poles, people, cars etc
It's a bit hard to get those shots now cos we have 6 buildings but half are 4 blocks away

Yeah, one more person. But I think #2 is still Dacs he just wants to make a building in #10 too. We'll have to ask him.

Why don't you make a city Cesar?

I already did number 2 and sent it to Mo. Unless he just put it on a flat plot (which is fine), and if that is the case, then number 2 is back up for grabs.
