Cedarland is proposing a three-story, 27-unit apartment building two blocks away from its Grid project at the northeast corner at Michigan Avenue and Best Street. It's kitty-korner to the two-building project planned for Pilgrim Village.
Also interesting is Joe Carubba is planning a project in the Old First Ward- from The News:
Carubba, through QOZ affiliates of his Carubba & Co., owns a pair of vacant properties at 31 Vandalia St. and 32 Hamburg St. – bookending the last block of South – that he purchased from a Clarence-based nonprofit charity. He also purchased a former residential home at 148 South, in the middle of the block, and another one at 12 Vandalia, across the street. And he has 22 Hamburg under contract.
Long-term plans are still in flux, although Carubba said he is contemplating a
mixed-use building with apartments. However, that is not final, and he said he is not yet certain of how many units or the type of units.
Brownstone townhomes and condos are also options, he added.
