This skyscraper would be overtaken by the Kingdom Tower in 2018.

Right, not sure how the Kingdom Tower is doing but I wouldn't be surprised if Burj was the tallest for a long, long time.

Even for developers who want to show off it's not really practical to go past 800+ meters. Tons of vanity height was needed anyway to reach that height.

Right now, the Jeddah Tower is on indefinite hold due to the loss of money via Online Currency
