The current plan is to move it to Liberty Park, the new park just south of the Memorial Plaza on top of the vehicle security center.

That almost looks like it could be part of the High Line.

Correct, the original bridge will be kept. Had they intended to build a new bridge, I honestly doubt that it would look as boxy as the rendering shows.

Ironically enough, the rebuilding of the World Trade Center has allowed this "last remaining piece" to be finally completed, as it was a bridge to nowhere in the original complex.

I thought they we're demolishing the bridges? And when will we see trees around the ventilation buildings

You see what I mean where the ventilation buildings are now it looks like they're doing something to the West Highway are they putting trees in? And will 1WTC really have trees around it?

They're getting pretty close to the tower cranes. I'm curious to see how they progress next. Will they install the tips to the currently constructed wings first, or will they begin filling in the center of the structure? Will they have to move the cranes to the center?

The arches will fit around the cranes (just barely). I don't think they will be putting in any rafters until the arches are complete.

That makes sense. I know final completion is still pretty far off but I'm so excited that this hub is finally taking shape pretty close to the original design. It's going to be one of NY's architectural gems once it's complete.

The R train has an automated announcement indicating PATH connection, and has a recently completed hallway which has signs to the PATH terminal; it connects the Northbound and Southbound platforms under the railway, but the PATH connection is walled off. Is this not going to be ready until the final hub is opened? Did this previously connect the the temporary PATH station when it's original entrance was off Church Street? I just find it odd that they wouldn't disable the PATH connection announcement when that 'connection' currently requires to you exit on Church St and walk 1 block outside.

WTC walkway to reopen Thursday for first time since 9/11

A walkway that linked the World Trade Center site to the old World Financial Center and the Hudson River waterfront will reopen on Thursday for the fist time since the walkway was damaged on 9/11, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced Tuesday.

The Port Authority said restoration of the "key pedestrian link will improve access for tens of thousands of daily travelers," many of whom use the New York Waterway Ferry Terminal at the financial center, across the Hudson River from Jersey City.

Known as the West Concourse, the underground walkway will let travelers cross the Lower Manhattan's broad and heavily traveled West Street unhindered by traffic or weather.

The new glass pavilion creates a seamless pedestrian link between the World Trade Center site and the New York Waterway Ferry Terminal. It serves as Brookfield Place’s stunning new front door, welcoming workers, visitors and residents.

Brookfield Place is now connected to the WTC PATH station, completely underground!

First thing I thought. You have a fantastic, glassy pavilion like this and you slap your uninspired logo right in the middle? Christ.

The stupid new rebranding of the WFC as Brookfield Place needs to go, IMHO. Brookfield Place sounds like a suburban cul-de-sac.
