Can I ask, where is your vantage point to be able to see the progress for those upper floors?

Just street level usually South of the building down 1St SE. (Have a good zoom lens).

I wish I had found this thread a lot earlier. I'm also an owner in Alura who has been closely following the construction from my vantage point in Nuera where I'm currently renting. Thanks for the updates so far, it's great to look back over the progress to date.

I'm hoping to catch some early morning interior work on the upper floors as the glass is too dark to see inside unless it's dark out and the lights are turned on in one of the units. Did see some guys working in a 20th floor suite last week, but couldn't tell what they were doing. Sales people still saying they are on track to start possessions in May and move in a floor per week from there (though she said they're trying to determine if they can use two elevators for moves and push that to a floor and a half).

Not the best quality, but turned out alright for a 15 second exposure. Looks like they are installing the kitchen cabinets in unit 2109 (NE corner of 21st floor).

Thursday the lift came down and they only have a ten floors to put in the balcony windows and doors. They sure moved fast on this.

Building looks amazing!!! I wonder how the one bedroom units turned out..the living room looked narrow on the floor plans....

I was up in Nuera, a one bedroom plan and the living room was also very narrow. What makes them even seem more narrow is the high ceilings.

Sounds like one of the balcony railings blew off the building on the weekend, was pretty windy but this shouldn't happen...

I don't think they have anything for Calgary, but I have heard that they have projects in Vancouver and Edmonton.

So looks like as rumored, Alura looks to be around ~30-32 floors plus mechanical rather than 36 of Nuera. Visual observation suggests a couple dozen feet shorter than Nuera too, closer in height to Sasso which is 365'. Anyone know the official height?

The reduction to 29 floors happened years ago. I bought back in March 2012 and it was already known then. From the development permit included in my disclosure documents it's 110.43m from the slab of the main floor to the top of the crown. So, 362.3 feet. I have no idea how they were going to do 36 floors in 380 feet.

So you're saying Alura is 2.7 feet shorter than Sasso? Either your 362.3' is short or DarthMalgus' number of 365' is over generous...there's no way they're that close in height.

All I can say is the building elevation diagram I have shows 1046.3 for the slab of the main level of Alura and 1156.73 for the "South Tower High Parapet". That looks like 110.43m difference to me. I don't have anything saying the height for the other buildings in the neighborhood. I think DarthMalgus might be thinking of Vetro with that height. Sasso is a lot shorter but Vetro is really similar to Alura (it's a little hard to tell because Vetro doesn't have much of a roof element and Alura's highest point is the north edge of the crown). The diagrams here have Vetro as 368' which would make it 6 feet taller than which seems about right.
