(re. the Main St. block from WRHA to Bridgman architects) It is a good progression. What was it before? - a crumbling abandoned theater, a hangout for drunkards, and a few more abandoned buildings (not in any order). Perhaps in the future we will see a small private grocer, 3 government buildings, a condo conversion, 2 more government buildings, an office, a restaurant, 1 gov't bldg, restaurant, midrise office bldg, law office, highrise office bldg (time progresses...) etc. This is a nice natural progression of a neighbourhood, something we have seen so little of in downtown Winnipeg. Peppering downtown with megaproject bombs did not seem to work too well throughout the 70's and 80's.
