All I can say is that they better not be restricting Ring Road for this.

Quote:
2023-2026: Water Supply Main construction along Ring Road from Pasqua Street North to Ross Avenue (Phasing TBD)
Also not overly keen on this:

September 2023: Tree removals along Ring Road

Next year.

Quote:
Starting in Spring 2024 - The speed on sections of Ring Road may be reduced to 60 km per hour and/or eastbound traffic may be reduced down to one lane when work is happening adjacent to the roadway.
Map show water main on the north side. Google maps shows many clumps of scraggly trees on that side that will likely get ripped out. I think either the map or part about eastbound traffic is wrong. Northside would be westbound traffic.

For 3 F'ing years??!! The work is not even in on the road. Why can they never use traffic barriers if safety is an issue.

I don't see why they couldn't get that done in one year. Even if they have to tunnel through all the bridge embankments. The pipeline work out west this year went under the bypass in 2 spots, under Wascana Creek, and under Dewdney by the GTH.

Probably going to make a huge mess of the freshly landscaped Winnipeg Street overpass.

I remember the Pasqua St N water main installation fiasco so I'd actually add time to their estimates.

This city is literally a joke when it come to the Ring Road. It's probably the busiest road in the province and they seem to restrict it and slow it down as much as possible.

I really do get a chuckle out of popping into this thread from time to time. You all seem so childish and genrally just mean to one another.

Is this a Regina thing?

For sure, although we dislike Edmonton folks the most.

Rode out to the GTH again. https://imgur.com/a/iU6efHb

Power lines along Pinkie Road getting moved. I looked at the tender again and the only half the road work was expected to be completed this year (Sherwood Drive to the tracks). The bridge walls got poured on Monday. The wings off the abutments haven't been poured yet, they were tinkering with the rebar when I went past.

Tall structure at the Cargill plant is getting a roof. SaskPower warehouses look to have all the doors and windows.

Does anyone know what’s coming next to the Co-op in Harbour Landing? I see a red fenced has been setup and they’re starting to work on the area. It isn’t the gas station but directly west of the grocery store.

I wonder how many people crashed into the median at Mt Pleasant before the city decided to remove it. I thought it was pretty stupid when I first saw it last year when Winnipeg Street bridge construction was wrapping up for the season. Probably also made it harder for water trucks to get to the bulk water station. I checked streetview and it was removed back in April.

Isn't the Humane Society moving in around there somewhere?

I think the Humane Society is being built further west by the Sarcan location.

In 2018, dream developments were planning a commercial development on Parliament Avenue, called The Runway. The Co-Op store was the first phase. Perhaps this is finally going ahead/now being built?

Yup, RHS is next door to SARCAN, and will be opening in the next month or two.

There is a tiny picture of that on Dream's website but it shows everything placed east of the Coop, so the new development might be something else.

Not sure it'll even be someone like that. There are lots of locals looking to expand.
