Two Microsoft signs are up now. One over Granville and one over Howe. Presumably another one coming for the Robson side (near Granville).

This building sorely needs better night lighting.

They should have used the same design (as Howe) for the double skin sign(s).
i.e. I don't like the 2 support rods between the logo and the wording.
But I guess it's trickier to support the sign on glass and mullions.

Would have also been nice if the Howe St sign was left justified in line with the Nordstrom sign.

Now if they could only re-do that Pacific Centre sign. Those materials and that inset look terrible. It should have just been made all glass to match what is below, and align with the glass along Robson. Would make for a much nicer corner.

They had installed glass - but removed it.
They had also installed steel studs directly behind the glass making us scratch our heads...
I expected a video screen - but nope.

Interesting, thanks. Something is definitely odd about how it turned out. Even the original glazing didn't look very good with that spandrel.

Still got stuck with that double skin which looks even worse than the spandrel.

The signage and lighting on this building looks more like that found on a big box in an industrial park...

Such a loss for our most prominent entertainment / commercial street corner.

I mean for the building in general.

The lack of any video screens / light animation / LEDs around any of the trims / etc... makes this building super plain in regards to lighting for its prominent location along the primary entertainment strip in the city.

Again, the lighting features on the new Telus building should have been at this location.

It would be nice if the Pacific Centre sign and surround were replaced by a large video screen, and the second skin were floodlit internally.

There actually are more lights (e.g., highlighting the wooden roof, which I saw in the summer), but CF wants to be "environmentally-friendly". I don't know why they bother spending money on lighting if they don't plan on using it.

Nordstrom also has a policy of dimming most of its interior lights, for the same reason. It's a real shame because it makes the block look dead at night.

Where did you hear that? The floodlights are planned to be operational.
