A major expansion in potash production was kicked off Monday at the K+S Bethune Mine. The company plans to spend nearly $3 billion over the next two decades to double the output of the facility.

A sod turning event was held at the K+S potash mine as construction crews worked in the background. It’s the first phase of a major expansion.

More incompetence from the City. We have these storms every year and sewage is still dumped and underpasses flood.

More infrastructure debt that past and current administrations have ignored or kicked the can down the road.

Just read the minutes from council meetings. All virtue signaling and little attention to core responsibilities.

Building another freeway through the middle of nowhere should help.

Dream Developments held a groundbreaking ceremony at the land on the northwest edge of the city. The community will cover 1,800 acres, with Dream developing 1,200 acres during the next three decades. At completion, it's projected to be home to about 36,000 people — bigger than the current population of Moose Jaw.
It would also make it one of the largest neighbourhoods ever built in Saskatchewan.
It will be the largest neighbourhood ever built in Saskatchewan and take way less than 30 years to fill up maybe 10 years

And they really picked "CPoopertown" for the name... Sounds like a Walt Disney-backed Mormons-only condo project meant to evoke McCarthy-era U.S. monoculture.

10 years would be shocking. Not saying it couldn't happen... but that's like a fantastical edge case future scenario.

I doubt there's a single school in the city that isn't over capacity. They seem to be building 1 at a time, and the second one for the Greens is probably up next.

6 schools is likely too many for full build-out, but I don't like the new trend of 1 joint-use facility serving 2,000 or more elementary students. I get consolidation to a point, and schools with fewer than 2 sections of students per grade likely aren't sustainable long term, but is this really the environment that parents want to send their children to, a school with 5 or 6 sections for Grade 1?
