It is very small. This will be an extremely slender tower.

The tower will not rise on that entire area. It will rise over only a small portion of it.

IMO another very unsusual lot and location for a supertall. As io mentioned. We are used to see supertalls beeing build on larger, lone lots for their own. While this, one57, and the other 57th supertall, will be in a dense neighboorhood surrounding it. I cant wait to go back to NYC when this one is ready. Have a nice drink at Sir Harry's in the Waldorf Astoria on a warm evening, go out on Park Avenue, stroll along a couple blocks, and see this tower lit up in its full 300m+ glory. *.*

Will the tower, or a base being build on the park avenue portion of this tower's plot?

The retail base will extend to Park, but the tower wil sit over a very small portion of the site mid-block (basically over 38 and 40). This can be gleaned from the site plan that SLCE filed with the DOB.

I haven't seen the design. I just know certain specifics.

I just checked the surrounding area of this tower. It will have famous neighboors. Trump 5th AV tower, AT & T, IBM building. Good lord, the material delievery will be a nightmare, not to mention the movement of the crane and it placement, all along with a staging area. Far more complex than one57 i guess.

I am confused guys.

Is the plot Dino showed us, the entire plot. Or will they add the soon demolished area on the 57th street stretch to this portion?

The location is what makes this one of the most valuable developments, and the project will be worthy of this.

Pardon my omission. But that's the word on the street! I guess that CIM seeks to steal the thunder from Extell, and from what I hear, 440 Park will be a dramatically better building that One57.
