Someone know if there's a new crane that just went up near the old bus depot on East 3rd in North Vancouver?

Maybe this one?

^There’s one up directly across St. Davids from the depot for Innova.

We are up to 241, with the usual caveat that there is likely a crane or two on the list already down.

Added one crane for Kits Block which went up recently and one for a project in the British Properties in the recently cleared area, haven't been able to ID it yet though.

Also removed one for Henry Hudson (it's a self erecting crane, not a full tower crane, so therefore it's not counted in this list).

241 is nuts, never thought I'd see it that high.

They had a ground breaking for Hawksley and Wildwood with Beedie and BPP back in June:

^ It's crazy between Lougheed and Burquitlam Station.

I was in Surrey yesterday, and you can get an awesome view of that area from King George Blvd. It looks like a whole new downtown is going up.

Crane lift happening at the construction site on Bridgeport in between No.4 Road and Jow St.
Traffic is down to one lane, heavy delays on the #BCHwy99 northbound offramp to Bridgeport.

Actually just realised it might be a heavy load lift and not a tower crane.

I guess there's eventually four buildings planned for that development? NW business centre, NE low rise office center, and two hotels fronting Bridgeport?

https://citycouncil.richmond.ca/__sh...5071953487.pdf

Actually Hotel 1 got a building permit issued back in February

Some Richmond News development permit notice (because some trees on the property died) said it's owned by Chunghwa Hotel Group.

https://citycouncil.richmond.ca/agen...10-20-2022.pdf

This sales brochure for the Business Centre has one Chunghwa labeled building, a Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn Marriott (which are on Chunghwa's website)

Chunghwa was originally behind the 888 West Broadway project.

Possibly a first for Vancouver? There's a tower crane up next to The Balmoral on East Hastings for the demolition.

It was supposed to start this summer and take about a year to complete.

It's been worked on since the summer. The abatement has been complex, since last summer, and I would imagine the building is almost certainly unsafe in places inside. A building of that height, from that era, might well have a steel frame, and if so they would need the crane to dismantle the building as it's cut up.

The Balmoral has a main steel structure consisting of steel beams and columns with originally solidly built-up 2x4s
infill wood framing. Even though the steel structure does have corrosion, there are no signs of distress in the frame.
Based on the evidence we have to date, we would not classify the main steel structure as an imminent risk of
collapse. We do want to investigate further to determine the extent of corrosion.

I've done quite a bit of cleaning up over the past few weeks, most sections should be fairly up to date. The South of the Fraser sections could do with a closer look, particularly the low rise projects.

As it stands the count is currently at 211.

Thanks Madog! I've been very behind in updating it myself. Been trying to find the time to do it but it just keeps getting busier and busier!
