Everything came out very nice and this is definitely a landmark building to be proud of!
So when are you renting your place there?

I think I will prefer our 3 large bedrooms in Metrotown over a tiny 2-bedroom apartment in Vancouver House for the same price and likely way worse views.

There's a few sets of ventilation shafts for the parkade levels.

Checked out the new Fresh St Market yesterday. Sure beats the Independant Grocer on Davie. 😀 Has a nice little restaurant with local craft beer, and there’s also a cafe. Lots of activity in the area.

It’s nice but small with a limited selection.

I think the 'shipping container' is going to be Momofuku?

No, I think Momofuku will be in the building between the Granville Bridge and the Howe St. ramp. The last pic below is looking down from the Granville Bridge on the west side. Perhaps Momofuku will have a Granville St. address?

Feb.8 '20, my pics

I think if you look at some medians there are some utility plugs setup and seems like it would be setup for a container to be located on it. There was one across the street from the Fresh Street main entrance.

If Gillespie or his Westbank minions monitor this board: do something about those vents fast, they're a lawsuit waiting happen. I saw one person take a nasty tumble after walking out Fresh St. on this:

I also saw a couple people almost trip on the other sides where stairs randomly appear on the grey concrete. There is no coloured line or anything to warn pedestrians.

I noticed that also. It wouldn't take much to raise the awareness level. Like, maybe some planters at strategic places to define the surface change. People (including myself) might be so distracted by all the interesting things up and around them they forget to look down. And then they go down.

Yeah, that's a pretty poorly oriented entrance - lots of obstacles to negotiate to get to the door and likewise on the way out.
I'm thinking the low walls are car-barriers, but bollards would be better.

I ate in the restaurant inside the Market yesterday (fork Lift?). Not half bad and they have beer.

Pretty swank inside.

LD's Fresh street Market looks to be a hit. Grocery store and neighbourhood pub

Thanks, that pic captures it perfectly. With so many people walking around with their eyes glued to their phones this could be a real hazard.

I'm also wondering about all that impermeable surface, in a downpour how easy it would it be for the water to run down those stairwells. Maybe the bridge would shield it enough...

That area is ridiculous! I saw two people standing at the railing blocking the whole entrance. People were all climbing over that weird concrete pony wall. Everyone I saw treated it like a big step. They need to remove it and redo that area.

Yup, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen, crazy hidden stairways. Needs planters or railing
