Any recent updates? Must have missed when you posted the pic, that's a nice shot! Nicely captures the towers built to the west of city parkway as well.

Just goes to show the city has a long ways to go in filling in major east-west corridor streets like 104th, Central or 102nd from City parkway through to Whalley Boulevard. Won't really be considered a "downtown" unless we start to see a continuous streetwall on these major streets.

Is that McDonald's there to stay or has it been bought out as well?

Not sure, but it went through a complete renovation 2-3 years ago. Might be there for at least some time.

It's staying for now. It's not owned by the developers of Georgetown.

Has anyone heard anything about a phase 2 application?

At this pace it seems like they are shifting towards a multi-decade plan versus the shorter time frame they originally had.

Have not heard anything, but yeah at this pace, it will not be built out until the 2040's. Phase 2 will include 2 towers at least, 31 & 32 storeys.

I feel as if they should be getting close to the bottom of the pit since there's only three levels underground eh?

They're getting close to 3 levels down on the southern section of the site.

I'll try to take a picture this weekend.

I suspect they should have a crane up and running within a couple months and well under construction this summer.

I noticed that they pretty much tore up the parking lot entrance between Save-On and McDonalds. They are prepping to do some major road work it seems. I'm guessing its being done to bring in some water main for the current project and future from King George.

Yeah, they've been working overnight for this past week on King George doing service upgrades and connections.

Also, it appears they've reached 3 floors down on the southern section of the underground parking. I think we might see a crane up by May for sure.

Not as deep as I thought. Although, it is quite a large pit so I guess it's going to take some time. Thanks for the update. You have great vantage point of this project.
