It's a behemoth already and there's thirty-something floors still to build. Staggering.

It's the new normal in Burnaby, and to a smaller extent Coquitlam and Surrey. We should get used to it.

Once all the other projects in the works around Brentwood and Gilmore get built this although definitely a behemoth will fit right in and not look out of place.

It will be only slightly taller than Solo towers, so I don't think it will look out off place. Considering that Gilmore towers will be downhill, the two tallest towers of Amazing may remain tallest in Brentwood. At least until the Esso lot will be built.

These two towers have more floorspace than Vancouver's 3 tallest towers.

I remember Tower 4 selling out last June around $740/sq ft for clients and thinking that was high... :p

Though SHAPE doesn't look like they're on the ball with all the construction delays. COL another delay too.

The Georgia? Wall Centre? Is the statement true for only one of them?

You mean Tower 3 ?
T4 is a rental tower, so wont go for sale. T5 is suppose to go on sale this spring, but I heard it is now delayed till fall.
I am confused like hag... the orders are T1, T2, T3,then T5

I hope they make the foot bridge wide enough for the future. There is going to be a lot of traffic.

It looks pretty wide. I found a photo:

That's currently my biggest worry about the project. It has bothered me for some time. At the station end, the bridge narrows, and the support for the roof takes up a lot of space (as you can see in the picture). At the plaza end, the bridge is wider, but it appears that to get to it from the north, one has to walk around the corner of the fountain (the circle of the fountain is clipped to the east west, so that may not be such a problem).

As for the fare gates, I seem to recall reading somewhere that Translink is planning more for the station. When, I don't know.

Umm...that roof support takes half the width of the bridge! What are they thinking, creating bottlenecks like that and just for the sake of asthetics.

I think the perspective might be slightly skewed on this panorama image. :p

And there are 2 such roof supports on each end!!! I sure hope they are temporary.
How do you expect people with walker, wheelchair to weave around such obstacles?

Yes, that's a terrible design that seems to defeat the purpose of the function of the bridge in the first place.

Normally you would have the supports to be out of the way of the actual pedestrian path.
My guess would be that someone convinced someone else (higher than them) that the support could double as a stand for posters and adverts which could earn them (Translink) some extra change?

It would be the equivalent of having a movie theatre with columns arrayed all along inside the seating area.

(*speaking of which, has anyone glimpsed the what the inside of the theatre is supposed to look like?)
