Looks like they are painting the spine on the tower in white.
Yes, they were priming all the patch work on the spin in white his afternoon.

I think white will end up looking dirty pretty soon.

This is actually the only view of the tower that I can stomach. One main facade treatment set against a solid protruding trunk. The other views are way too bi-polar

Really? I'm not a fan of this angle at all. Having said that, I'm not a fan of the bridge angle either.

I don't really like this tower.

Maybe I'm weird, because I also like this view of Palladio in Coal Harbour. Something about exposed cores anchoring the glass

I know it’s ridiculous to personalize such things but the fact that this design was allowed on such a prominent tower makes me embarrassed to be a Vancouverite.

Did I hear bi-polar? Have you seen 8X yet? It is multi-polar.

The Burrard Place tower is a beauty by comparison.

Well, I must declare: Vin is right. Even still, Burrard Place is also multi-polar, though I have been pleased to see that it has actually become a little more quiet as it finishes up. I am no longer worried that it will forever draw my eye in a bad way. Likewise, 8X cannot be seen 'all at once' without some effort, so it too will not overly push its over-business upon us.

For 2 weeks they've been working on all the window sills.
I'm not sure if it's a special care product (paint) to reduce dirt and grime build up on those window sills ?

Chances are that the window cleaners won't be cleaning bird poop off those ledges.
They'd have to power wash to do that (?)
I wonder if pigeons will take a liking to those ledges?

I'm banging on my windows to chase pigeons off my balcony. I'm sure the same at One Burrard.

The phase 2 sales centre is half unwrapped and a furnished suite looks ready. They were shooting a video today and I would guess VIPs and the like will soon, or already have been shown through.

I think realtors previewed last week and clients' first previews are today, Jun 20

You can see some interior pics if you search 2burrardplace under tags on IG or just search burrard place on youtube and some asian realtors posted tours of the sales gallery online

Why does it have to be white all the time? Paint the Burrard tower a light brown tan colour or a brick red colour. Jesus, do something to break through the monotony.

Someone posted earlier that they used the wrong type of concrete, so it needed to be painted (though I don't know if sealing would have worked).

Limestone gray would have been nice.
