There haven't been too many when you consider how many thousands of songs that have charted over the years.

If we're talking number one songs over the past 60 years you could probably count them on your two hands and have fingers left over:

Sukiyaki
La Bamba?
Macarena
Despacito
Rock Me Amadeus?
Dominique-nique-nique
Volare?

I think 99 Luftballons may have been a number one but with the English version.

I'm not talking number 1 songs. I didn't say numerous either.. The point was that it has happened despite the North American audiences not knowing what is being said. As an aside, The best chorus ever was voulez vous coucher avec moi ce sour in prudish America.

Edmonton's skyline extends quite far. They were really into commie-blocks in the 60s and 70s and we're new seeing modern towers go up near those commie-block clusters.

Other than obviously Toronto, and Vancouver on the Peninsula, Hamilton and Ottawa, it seems most other cities did not go gang-busters on commie-blocks throughout the city, or at least, they are not as prominent in the skylines.

Amazing shot, really.

With its 8 billion skylines, its hard to believe that Burnaby has got less than 300,000 ppl.

Yes Burnaby is good old fashioned “punching above its weight”.
