Off topic, but ..
For Pacific Centre, the original food fair was in the current Harry Rosen space with a sunken seating area and aisle around the perimeter with the food vendors.
Then it moved to the lowest level of the atrium,
then to the present location when Holts took over the atrium.

Agreed, that I could see a food fair option in the old Nordstrom space, but that would likely entail opening up the curtain wall with more windows, and pretty extensive renovations.

That Instagram video says the parking is 7 levels/75 feet. Going by the stairs it's like around 6 levels down at the far corner?

Are they doing the next two buildings at the same time? Or is that pit just for one of them?

I was under the impression that both were being built at the same time.

Rivian might be open now, last time I passed a few days ago window stickers were in the process of being installed but on their instagram page showing salsa dancing at the plaza the Rivian space seemed to have people going in and coming out. Suit Supply is still fully boarded up, but it says it opens Summer 2023.

5 and 6 are the same excavation/build. Tower 8 will be it's own sub-phase.

is that a permanent Rivian store, or more like a temporary thing? i would be surprised to see a permanent store, but would be cool if it was.

The space is intended to be a high visibility temporary storefront to maximize exposure to people travelling on the Skytrain and along Lougheed/Willingdon. Basically a billboard with a store behind it. I believe Rivian has booked the space for longer than usual, but it's still temporary.

Where is phase 8? they do not go by numerical order, shouldn't it be phase 3 first?

Probably out of date, but here's a 2015 Open House plan:

It's tower 8, not phase 8.

I think Shape only considers this phase 2.

Phase 1 was towers 1-3 and Phase 2 is towers 5,6 and 8.

Yeah they're calling it neighbourhood two.

https://homes.theamazingbrentwood.com/masterplan/

There's some guy from IBI being project manager for the past year which includes Tab Tower 8 so you assume it's in the near-term pipeline.

I would call it Towers 5,6=Phase IIa, Tower 8=PhaseIIb

Just noticed Axiom posted some photos of the crane install in July:

Quote:
A significant milestone has been reached as the first tower crane has been erected at The Amazing Brentwood, Neighborhood Two by SHAPE!

This is the first of two tower cranes that will be erected for this phase; currently standing at 180FT, from the base at P7, it will eventually reach its final height at an astonishing 740FT, gradually rising as the tower is built.

Thank you to the teams at New Firmus, Rapicon West, and Mammoet for assisting in a safe and successful crane erection.
