To be fair, Brandt would have spent a bunch of time and money on plans and engineering along with doing the demolition.

It was a crappy deal to begin with but Brandt was just doing what was allowed at the time. This lawsuit was inevitable once the whole thing was quashed.

Pretty clear who the winner and loser in this deal was.

I work downtown and the increase in the number of zombie/addict/mentally ill people is shocking. I guess it is the same everywhere. It is a complex problem and I do not have the answers, but I know that letting addicts do whatever they want is not the solution.

Old CBC Building. Sask Archives doesn't need all that space. A main floor office would be accessible and convenient.

Steel for the south Albert Ring Road bridge replacement is all up. We can look forward to a summer of road restrictions next year as well for the second bridge. In addition to the bridge work the approach ramps and cloverleafs are being re-graded to accommodate the taller bridge. North side is done and covered in tar to prevent rain erosion. South side road work was started last week.

I believe is is the CBC Building on Broad Street, half a block north of where CNIB was (2440 Broad Street).

Thank you both , quite the story the CBC gave the building to the archives for free and they made it one location
