Totally missed that... you mean "Concord Sky" @ 299m (or 300.1m ;-)... maybe koops nixed the drawing because of some permit nonsense swirling around this?

Btw, you would think a company (Concord) that littered downtown with a heaping pile of towers ('ShittyPlace')... would manage to have the permits properly lined up for their biggest 'scraper... ever.

I missed it too.

Naw, there's a contributor that frequently posts updates in the database correction thread and editors just copy and paste without checking for sources. He never provides sources and he is a contributor that needs to be double ckecked.

A stop work order due to permitting issues is not a reason to put a project on hold.

The United Building, 88 Queens and another tall-e (can't remember) have applied for more floors. There's still hope for an undisputed supertall Concord Sky and Sugar Wharf. The proposed supertalls aren't looking good right now.

You're right... Concord Sky can be found by √ on hold... though the resulting diagram still says under construction lol.

Really curious about how Dylan got a green light to restore the proper drawings for ssp members. Any insights?

He is the red light, green light, amber light, sheet metal housing and, power source. Beyond that, I don't know. The public still can't see 'em. It won't stop people from joining or members from posting them on Urbantoronto.

Thanks... glad you like the diagrams.

I was able to "see" the drawings this entire time. Dylan already had it figured out back when all the blurryness began.

Sky Tower is not yet officially taller...

Koops, Sugar Wharf 2 is also missing. I take it that is because it still in demo, not excavation.

Demolition counts as site preparation.

A remediation permit has appeared to excavate the entirety of the site and down to the full depth of the parking garage. No permits yet for the towers. Will it be 1, 2 or all 3?

The steel structure looks more interesting on this side. It's in the office space as well.

Toronto is becoming a super huge city, it's cool, but also scary at the same time.

Everything I start to think that and visit a city like NYC I come back and think. It's nice a quaint here. Let's see how m7ch development happens with Chow as Mayor. She definitely wants to see more housing so it's only going to get bigger faster I think.

I don't get these comparisons to NYC. The two cities are just so different. New York's big real estate bubble peaked in the 1920s. Toronto's started 100 years later. The character of development from built form to material are just so different. Toronto's Yorkville skyline kicks NYC Yorkville skyline to the moon and back. However, a strong case could be made that NYC's Yorkville feels like part of a bigger city. It's a neighbourhood. Toronto's Yorkville can be confused with a CBD.

Liberal or Conservative. Councillor, MPP or MP. They all collectively want more housing for 20 years now. I don't see much of a change happening.

I said Toronto doesn't feel as large after visiting a huge city like NYC. I could have said Tokyo, Paris, London, Mexico City or a plethora of other cities but chose NYC because probably more forumers have visited it then other large mega cities. In no way was I comparing the two cities. If you thought I was maybe I should have phrased it differently so it was more clear for you.

Yes for sure. For me the big difference with the other cities isn't down to the skyscrapers and can't really be overcome with skyscrapers. Skyscrapers are sort of like the tip of the urban form iceberg with some large urban cities like Paris not even having many. The real difference is the expanses of stuff like this even in places where nothing terribly tall is anywhere in sight.

It is often inferred that skyscrapers remain the missing ingredient to make Toronto more like Manhattan. The opposite is true. It's the dense deco era mid rise neighbourhoods that are missing in Toronto. That era is long gone. Developers backed by large funds build space for small owners to lease or buy now. It's just a different feel.
