Well finally. Seems like this whole thing dragged on an awfully long time.

What a great outcome! The kids still bake in their classrooms with the sun beating down on the roof while suffer from Vitamin D deficiency basking in the shadows from the beginning of Toronto's Millionaire's Row wall

I don't have a clue. I guess it was more about winning and closing a file .. .getting the developer to give up some arbitrary height or density .. than actual city building.

I would presume the kids and their families, some who reside on that row, would be able afford Vitamin D tablets.

I cant decide if I love or hate 160 Front West. The One is turning out very nicely. Cant wait to see it finished in 8 or so years.

Doesn't matter how nice the dress, hair and, make up are. Fattie Mcfattie has a thoroughly, unattractive bode.

That 160 Front picture with the exposed ventilation ducts is very cool tho. Almost wish it could stay that way for the cool street imagery but I suspect it isn't as impressive from the inside.

Great work koops!

It's good to see some closure on this long running back and forth between Mizrahi and the City over this height increase. With this height increase, this will stand out and be that much more dramatic in the skyline.

Considering where the shadowing falls, Mizrahi should have originally asked for 400m, and settled on 350m

The shadowing framework here has been eroded over 20 years. I've watch my share of council decisions in the OMB era and section 37 always took precedence in council's decisions over planning recommendations. Anyways, what little integrity is left in the shadowing initiative has been eroded once again for what I can only say is a superficial compromise everyone agreed on. Typically, a settlement is an ideal situation. However, shadowing is one in which you take a hard stance. IMHO, (and the erosion over 2 decades not withstanding) you either stick to no or give up on the framework and give Mizahi what he wants. 10 metres and couple ticks in F.S.I. (which doesn't seem to be a part of this) above the settlement makes a negligible difference.

Now, I can see a special case for a settlement if The One is facing some trouble and needs a lifeline of more sellable floor space.

Thanks. Not ideal, as it looked great at 340m. It certainly looks much better now then that chopped off version at 308. So ill take it!!

Posted this on UT:

@Koops - great new SkyTower, The One and other under construction drawings on SSP… which begs the question, when did SSP turn the lights back on again? (no more smudged blobs)

BTW… for bean counters there are 37 towers 150 metres to 328.4* metres under construction in T-Dot. Not too shabby.

*344.58 metres if SkyTower gets its bump.

I noticed about a month ago. Only SSP members can see them.

People not logged in see a "see building" button superimposed on the blurry drawing that links them to log in

Bumps are a boomin'

Where is YSL - is it not “officially” under construction ?

Is one Yonge officially 1,131 ft / 344.58 m now? Or are we still waiting for that to be approved?
