Developer has plans for $300 million development on News & Record site in downtown Greensboro, NC. There are 4 interested potential tenants for the office space. Keep in mind this doesn't include a large tract of vacant property next to the News and Record site and across the street from the depot. The project will consist of twin office towers, apartments, wellness/health , restaurants and entertainment attractions.

Ryan Cos. US Inc. and TH3 Partners LLC told Triad Business Journal that they have an option to buy the vacant former newspaper property at 200 E. Market St. and a tentative plan to build twin 250,000-square-foot commercial buildings and "300 to 400" apartments

Lewis said design and other details about the project were not set, though he indicated that one option was two 10-story buildings with modern glass exteriors, surrounded by three or four levels of apartments much like those at Roy Carroll's Carroll at Bellemeade development

Greensboro is a finalist for a JetZero commercial/military airliner factory which would employ 10,000 people. It would be the biggest economic development in North Carolina state history and the largest factory in the state in terms of workers. PTI in Greensboro already has two aircraft factories. Boom Supersonic and Honda Aircraft Company which also has its world headquarters at the airport.

Construction has started on the 10-story AC Hotel in downtown Greensboro. Its the first phase of a development that will include 7-story apartments with street level retail. Its located across the street from the 9-story 400 Bellemeade office building and ballpark. The Hyatt Place Hotel is also across the street. Also in other downtown news, the 12-story Westin Greensboro is still in the works and a Residence Inn by Marriott is coming to downtown Greensboro.
