March was when they had aircraft seizures hit the news. Could’ve had an impact on the last minute club.

Here are the stats for the 2022-2023 winter season. This is data is available to the public.

Can someone confirm if AC Rouge actually had a substantial increase in YOW-MCO frequencies in February? That seems to be a significant outlier, but its what the BTS is reporting.

I would agree that I think Porter would announce something to Florida (or a warm, southern destination), for this winter. It'll be shoulder season for intra-Canada travel and domestic travel really drops within the winter seasons.

It's getting late to announce an intra-Canada route like YYC, YEG, or YYT to be able to start in time to hit the peak season.

They call it their newest hub. Here's a description too:

This is very cool! Is this only available for Transborder flights?

Confirms that Flair was indeed weaker than AC/WS. It's quite frustrating that AC's response to these numbers was to dramatically cut flights out of YOW.

And I can't remember February's increase being that dramatic on MCO from Rouge but maybe I'm wrong. IIRC they ran on days 2467 last year and during February it was 2x daily on Thursday, but that would only be 5,440 seats.

I also don't recall RSW running more frequently than MCO on WS but again, I could be wrong. Both are loaded in 1x weekly (Saturday) this coming winter.

Yeah they need to this coming winter be in the mid-80s in order to be making any money. I can say that F8 did add extra close-in (i.e., < 2 months) YOW-Florida flights over the March Break which no doubt cut loads.

These numbers show that AC cutting YOW-Florida frequencies in half next winter has nothing to do with demand. Ergo PD should really pounce. With connectors, PD could easily fill daily MCO & FLL daily and TPA 3x weekly at a minimum...but I'd be surprised if they were to add all 3 in year 1. YOW-FLL daily would also open up a plethora of B6 FLL interline connections depending on timings. There'd even be a few at MCO too.

Straight from BTS Data.

It gets tricky because whenever an airline uses a different aircraft, its inserted as a different data type on excel causing me to do some math.

There were a lot of Fort Myer frequencies on the excel as well.

I checked out data on Flightradar24 and those MCO stats are accurate for February.

AC1692/1693 ran days 467
AC1698/1699 ran days 347

48 flights in the month on the 136-seat A319 = 6528 seats

The WestJet numbers seem correct too, the only one that seems high is December on RSW.

Air Canada Jetz A320 doing AC440/445 today. It also flew this route on Friday.

Initially they'll run in parallel, but sounds like next spring it'd be removed.

Makes sense, no need to destroy Airport line ridership. It should be frequent enough that it'll be sufficient to service for awhile.

I was just looking at Google Flights for a potential weekend in Toronto and was surprised to see a Canada Jetlines flight on July 29 showing up. It's not bookable when you click through so I checked and indeed the Ticats are playing the Redblacks that weekend so this is presumably their flight home

I love how random Jetlines' ops are. YYZ-LAS instead of operating twice weekly all summer is now suspended until August 31st. YYZ-CUN now has no available flights between 16JUL23 and 31JUL23.

I doubt they are filling any flights. They have minimal brand awareness.

They should just stick to charter flights for the time being. The market is waaaaaay too crowded, especially for YYZ flights.
