interesting so one could say we have YVR to partially blame for continued UNaffordability in the Richmond housing market.

Can you point me to a taller building that's more affordable than a shorter one?

If Richmond City Centre was already built out, and there was continued demand, maybe prices would be higher, but as we all know, there are plenty of sites that haven't been built out yet.

Luxe Office Tower

I didn't realize that it's a strata office tower.
https://luxelansdowne.com/office/

Skinnier than I expected - side loaded core.
Maybe there's some hope it'll peek above the condos.

There's a new development submitted to the city where Glitz was proposed a number of years ago at 6840 No. 3, 14 storeys with rental residential.
Rezoning submitted last year and DP this year by the ID number.

Developer is listed as Wilton Properties Ltd (google only brings up a UK company), architect is Chris Dikeakos Architects.

Noticed the first building of Bridgeport Business Centre looks to be complete. The architectural led lighting really makes it stand out at night when driving south over the Oak street bridge.

Not sure if they've completed the lighting feature. Looks kind of odd with how its shaped, almost like some still need to be installed to be complete...

I highly doubt they’ll ever reach full build-out of all 4 buildings

Noticed a huge For Sale sign hanging on that building today.. Is that for the units? Or the entire building?

Ron.

Pre-sale buyers of Minoru Square were told this week the developer has “paused” the project and will return their 20 per cent deposit.

Minoru Square, being built by Thind Properties at Minoru Boulevard and Lansdowne Road, was due to be an 11-floor, residential development with more than 400 units.

The development included studio suites starting at $534,900 to two bedrooms and a den from $839,900.

Introduced to the market last year, the development was set to complete in 2025.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, rising interest rates, and development challenges, we have made the hard decision to pause the project at this time,” wrote Thind in a letter to the buyers on May 26.

The company said it will work with the City of Richmond to “make changes to the design, residential and commercial make-up of the development.”

But in the meantime, current buyers will lose the unit and instead get their deposit back - 20 per cent of the condo price - starting next week.

Seems like Thind is returning the 20% deposit pretty quick to purchasers as well

The Thind project in Surrey is also doing nothing, they cut all the trees down quite a few months ago and that was about it.

Not sure what it's called. Everything in Richmond blends in and looks alike; however, this one was under construction for what feels like close to 5 years and now finally completed.
