Beauty. I wager that within 10 years (if the arena goes through), the majority of LeBreton will be built-up.

Well it's taken over 20 years to get us two blocks of stellar condos (I am happy about the library, LRT stop, War Museum, Holocaust Memorial and Zibi work)... less hopeful for the rest.

1960 Scott is such a blight on this city, along with Story of Mediocrity+Lowest Bidder. I can't wait for something to block it from this angle.

Awesome shot otherwise.

Weird that TSN used actual up to date footage. Usually they put 5 year old b-roll crap.

I unknowingly walked by them filming some the other week. Guy was crouching in the dark in a street parking spot on Metcalfe. Just one dude and a camera, invisible to traffic. I walked right through his shot without seeing him. The very next day I see the footage while watching the game. I was surprised at the turnaround time.

Amazing shot Harley. That Rideau cluster of towers, although not all of them are pretty, looks way better than what it was before. Actually looking very big-city like, especially walking through it.

Cool shots but the aerial views of Ottawa are rarely beautiful. They really make the city seem unimposing and like some mid-sized 250,000 pop city in Anywhere, USA.

I can't think of any such city that has a resemblance to Ottawa.

Having necessarily been to more Anywheres, USA than I care to, I think you’re short changing Ottawa a fair bit there.

Ottawa's skyline is squat and ugly as all hell, like several copy-pastes of downtown Hamilton spread out over an immense area, but it ain't no 'anywhere USA'. There are very few American Non Coastal/Texas/Atlanta/Las Vegas cities with more than a handful of towers, and those towers are usually very central with not much height around them.

I'm kicking a dead horse here, but: How can any landowner/developer/architect/etc. spend even a very short visit in Ottawa, or even spend a few minutes looking at any photo of Ottawa and think "Yeah...Ottawa needs another grey or greige building." ???
