She seems ok, and we're going to take her the vet to get her checked out to be sure.
Our neighbor across the street called us this morning and said she had her cornered in someone's carport at the top of the street after she spotted her walking along the curb. I had helped that neighbor in the past when two of their dogs got out.
Yesterday really sucked. We have two gates leading into our backyard that are normally closed and locked, but the workers we had over left them both open when they left. And my mom let dogs out after they left and for whatever reason, she didn't check the gate. I discovered they were open and THREE of our dogs were missing. The first one was in the driveway, but apparently, she had wandered down the street a few houses and actually came back into our driveway because a neighbor said he saw that one. The 2nd one I found in someone's driveway at the bottom of the street next to their house in the side yard. The third one is the one we couldn't find, and she was out all night. It's so crazy because I rode all over the neighborhood looking even riding up into people's driveways to check.
And I'm really sorry to hear about you losing one of yours. One of ours passed back in February. It never gets easier.

After we buried Seven, I left our gate open when I was putting the shovels back in the garage and my wife let the dogs out of the house and three of them went straight through the gate. Luckily we were able to catch them. And while I was getting emotional looking at Seven's body in her little casket, my wife said the same thing to family members there, it doesn't get easier. We have around a dozen pets buried in our pet cemetery over the years. I cried over all of them, except for the three cats. Really happy you got your beautiful dog back, and I am impressed with your efforts to find her. That had to be rough.
