But the thing that gets Winnipeg is for larger construction. You can see that the averages overlap in almost all the cities on that list.
So it would be a pretty typical scenario where the commercial construction costs in Winnipeg are on par with places like Toronto - but the rental rates, lease rates, etc. are often orders of magnitude higher in Toronto. So outside of building your suburban palatial home in Winnipeg, your bang for your construction buck is often WAY higher elsewhere as compared to Winnipeg.
