Saying that this will be the "tallest building in Midtown East" is shortchanging it immensely.
It's the tallest building in the world outside of Asia (though Central Park Tower has a higher occupied floor by a hair)
To me, 1WTC's "spire" and Sears Tower's Broadcast antennae, despite surpassing 500 meters don't really count, nor do the Spires of Taipei 101 or the Petronas Towers really but at least those look pretty cool.
