Does TBM gonna have to spend a month or two before it can continue to next station?

Seemed like it was there for about a month. I guess we'll see how long it stays here to see if it's just as long or shorter.

They are stopping here for some maintenance so it will probably be longer than at Main which was 6 weeks.
Also, they have only done the concrete slab on the eastern portion east of Yukon, between Yukon and Cambie sill needs to be done before the TBM can progress.

Quote:
Elsie, the first tunnel boring machine (TBM), will be arriving at Broadway-City Hall Station soon and will undergo regular maintenance below the traffic deck in the station area. Concurrently, Phyllis, the second TBM, will be starting her second leg of tunnelling, from Mount Pleasant Station towards Broadway-City Hall Station.

Station excavation must be fully completed first before the boring tunnel machine can pass through the station

Yup - you can see the concrete floor/track for the TBMs in Lexus' April 4th pic.
Good management that it was all done in time.

Phone through the construction fence and about 3 inches off the ground. Otherwise everything is blocked by that wall extension feature on the building.

time for TBM to Alberta street

If the second TBM matches the first and takes 47 days to reach Alberta, that means an arrival before the end of May

The first will already be tunneling to Oak street and the second, after a few weeks for refurb, will be doing the same.

The box in front of no frills is a simple lane switching box so they could start closing it up soon after the second tbm starts up again. Maybe as early as July.

Get the pictures while you can.

Funny you say that... when the post about the guide way was put up and said Alberta, I thought they meant the badly built one in Edmonton....

No source, just observations as it happens.
