And a lot of red hues, which is appreciated in a city where most modern buildings are glass or grey.

In the east, it seems most of the older apartment building stock is bare concrete, which look very dreary. The few brick ones are being painted shades of grey.

Glass towers on the left are Phase 1 of Station Park -- Phase 3 is proposed @ 175m 50fl. Crane on the left is TEK Tower | 146m | 45 fl.

Love to see these mid-size cities densifying and getting taller. More please.

It blows me mind seeing that image, because I can almost recognize the only familiar view I have of Kitchener, which is viewed from the railway. It's grown so much just in the last 10 years.

View of main Richmond Yards tower in Halifax. This shows how buildings outside of downtown can break the "tabletop" effect, since they are not under the same height restrictions and in many cases are at higher elevation:

You can see the tower from the Bedford Basin too:

Congrats! Nice to see some cities breaking out of the tabletop!

The Montreal pic above avoids the tabletop effect, but unfortunately, other angles are filling-up the tabletop at a fast pace.

Vancouver seems like it avoided the tabletop to a certain extent even with height restrictions.

Almost shocking that little Kitchener, so long the butt of height jokes, will soon be taller than Hamilton, Quebec City, Winnipeg and Ottawa.

Hmm, i don't think that having a taller condo tower is going to help kithchener's broad image, especially not vis-a-vis Quebec City.

LeBreton Flats, looking west. Tower clusters at the top are Tunney's Pasture area and Westboro, where about a dozen more towers are u/c or proposed.

To the left, next to Pimisi Station, two towers from Dream are expected to break ground this spring (31+36 floors). Lower, left corner, partialy out of frame is the new central library. Crane in the middle is Claridge, maybe 30 floors (total of 5 new towers ranging from 25 o 45 floors are proposed or approved).

In the middle, across the street from the green space with the "8", the NCC has launched a bidding process to develop 2 to 4 blocks (of the total 9 blocks in that corner of the Flats).

The arena is proposed to be middle, left, below the triangle that looks like mostly asphalt, between Pimisi and Bayview stations.
