Just a problem of camera perspective, those doors are actually for a garage under the road belonging to Hydro Ottawa for the dam

thanks for the update! Looking good. And given everything in the immediate vicinity is roughly the same height (midrises), it will make this one look even taller in comparison.

The cladding on block 206 looks really good from Albert/Preston. Excited to see the final product

You're correct.

There's a wormhole pipe under the bridge about where your red line is. I've seen a photo from somewhere. The bridge is not your standard suspended bridge deck. It's fully filled in, except for the large diameter pipe.

There's no gate that I've seen. The gates are at the bridge upstream.

Here’s a look at it from April 2019.

Love how the area is coming together. Very fresh and interesting. Wish Landsdowne had the same feel; it would have made it so much more of an interesting destination.

That's great. Should be pretty safe then. Lots of potential for some water/ice activities.

Fantastic progress at Zibi. It's really coming along. I hope once these open, we'll have enough critical mass to support some retail and restaurants.

I think the next tower, the 23 story Charcwhite, will be the tipping point where the area can support retail/restaurants on the island.

I have a feeling that Zibi's success is strongly linked to the success of Lebreton. I dont see the island being able to attract a lot of retailers until Lebreton is built and links downtown to Zibi in some ways. They could probably get a coffee house and a bike repair shop in the meantime. Would love to be wrong, I'm a big fan of this project and I hope it becomes a destination but the zipline and 2 weeks of bluesfest isnt gonna be enough for restaurants to open.

Technically the revised plan makes it more a CharcGlass than a Charcwhite

Considering it's the only Charchwhite (or Charchglass) on the Ottawa side, it's fine as it is unique to the development (on the Ottawa side). Interesting angles, a distinct base, middle and top. It will be one of the nicest Charchwhites in town.

I have never seen those revisions, this is fantastic news!!! I'm A-OK with a charcoal brick base in an area that has a variety of different materials being used, and the Ottawa side of Zibi is definitely using a large variety. It has never been about the charcoal brick itself for me, it's about ridiculous amount of it that is being used in this region. I'd probably be obsessively naysaying red brick if it was as overly prevalent.
