Nice picture guys. Will be a nice looking bridge when competed.

I just hope they honor the old bridge with some form of orange color, maybe on the cables or some lighting feature.

An unprotected pedestrian sidewalk or a lack of a centre divider would probably be more of an homage lol. Among drivers who frequent the Pattullo, I doubt there will be any shed tears for the loss

Province provides update on new Pattullo Bridge

Surrey, B.C. -

The days of driving on the Pattullo Bridge in wider lanes are around the corner.

On Wednesday, B.C. Minister of Transportation Rob Fleming said the new bridge connecting Surrey and New Westminster is expected to be completed in 2024.

"The latest milestone is we have completed all in-river work, and you're starting to see considerable expansion on the span," said Fleming.

Main tower is a little over 1/3 of the way up.

Quote:
Crews continue to build the bridge tower in 5-metre increments called “segment jumps.” 13 of 33 segment jumps are now complete!

Once constructed, the #PattulloBridgeReplacement’s main bridge tower will be 167 metres tall.

From Patullo Replacement twitter posted March 16th:

Lots of progress is being made at the N3 foundation in New Westminster!
This foundation will support the start of the bridge deck on the
@New_Westminster side of the #PattulloBridgeReplacement.

Reminder of the bridge alignment because it looks so skewed from McBride:

That's mostly the Brewery District and Royal Columbian, but you can see a few Burquitlam buildings poking up behind them.
