15 and overcast in Paris this afternoon, cooler and raining tonight. The sound of sirens was in the air, along with the stench of garbage. What a crazy place!

Back home it was 8.1 degrees with 2.3 mm of rain and a low of 6.

Very grey and dreary/foggy in Toronto. I'm looking at my cousin's RV trip to Canyonlands National Park/Moab UT with jealousy, although it's colder.

I finally found a box of RATs in my car, testing positive an hour ago. My experience has been like the worst head cold imaginable: 48 hour throbbing headache, chills, sweats, fever peaked at 39C, on the two pulse oximeters I've got, it dipped to SpO2 of 94%, now around 96%.

I've got enough energy to make chicken soup, but otherwise very fatigued. I think God is making me remember the 5th anniversary of my dad's death.

Happy Paddy’s Day! Still 4 hours until downtown gets busy but hey, no harm starting early lol

Shift change at Bridie’s. The boomers are giving the Millenials a few hours before the Zoomers takes it all over lol

I'm missing the St Patty's vibe. I purposely came to Toronto this weekend to see all the Scotch/Irish women even though I can't drink. So another year of isolation.

Btw, I wonder what beer tastes like with covid? Cheese and dairy has an acidic, bitter taste.

My mother remembers 1960s Belfast on St Patrick's Day: mostly Protestant Ulster Scots would go to the pubs; meanwhile for the RC Irish, it was a religious celebration spent in church and home. Look at Guinness for example, founded by a religious Protestant.

How can people openly congregate in small pubs without fear of getting covid?

I've noticed almost everyone has stopped wearing masks in public here in Toronto.

It’s filling up. Midnight so I am at the restaurant with a handful of friends getting food and water and preparing for my French exit lol. I won’t experience 1:30 am madness George Street anymore now that I’m in my 40s lol

EDIT: home safe. Theme of the night… — brunette local did this in the street for tips, up against the chip wagon, with no music but two b’ys beatboxing as her backup. Insane. 11/10 talent. She was SO much better than the actual artist. Absolutely zero silence between words, and a little slower/louder. I've no idea when she took breaths lol And the hipbones rolling on every beat. Enough to turn a guy straight so it was.

At least be festive and make it an Irish exit!

5C and cloudy early this afternoon and then rain. Nice soaking to wash the dirt from the cars. Currently 6C (dewpoint of 5C), snow is melting at a furious pace.

Low of 1C last night.

Warmspot was Pitt Meadows, BC at 16.1C.

Warmest low was Cumshewa Island, BC at 5.8C.

Just FYI that's incorrect, always.

You can say St. Patrick's. In some small corners of the world you can say St. Pat's. You can never say St. Patty's. Patty is short for Patricia. Paddy is short for Padraig (Patrick). It's not a cultural quirk. It's literally wrong to say Patty's. It'd be like if Canada had St. James Day and some people said Jim's Day and you went around saying Happy Joanne's!

Another dry and sunny day but with a very light haze.

Friday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 11 C, the low was 2 C.

Last time I heard, he was in Paris. Having said this, I see it might get to 17C in Abbotsford today.

You're right. I did get them confused. KW is in Malta for a month.

Meanwhile, in Moncton, it is currently +5C and partly cloudy at noontime, going up to +7C this afternoon.

A decent seven day forecast (+7C, +4C, +3C, +7C, +5C, +1C, +4C and mostly sunny).

I've been rolling my eyes at these random weather updates from locations unspecified. People, you gotta understand your life isn't so important that everyone knows you've traveled to wherever the — you are. If it had been mild in Southern Ontario yesterday, I would've thought the temperature was 16 in Ottawa. Clearly it wasn't, clearly this person thinks I know, firstly, that they've traveled, secondly, where they've traveled to. No!

Malta it is. I was out for a harbour cruise this afternoon and thought it might be chilly but it was actually quite comfortable in the sun. Hoping to see some 20C+ before I come home.
