NEMA is already a huge presence in the South Loop, so to give it a slightly taller twin would make that corner even more eye-catching and dramatic.

Agreed. I feel like I need to find more reasons to go explore the South Loop for the fact it's sculpted a very dense neighborhood over the last two decades.

^ A nice thing is that this area is actually not THAT dense, so it's super relaxing to walk around, and I imagine the spaciousness also makes this a comfortable place to live. This awesome photo makes it look denser than it really feels.

^^ A big part of that feel is due to how wide the streets are in the South Loop, south of Roosevelt. Michigan and State are very wide, and even Wabash feels that way. Plus there are a number of lower slung institutional buildings and a number of small parks. All that makes it feel spacious.
