Council packet includes an amendment for an urban development incentive grant for Steepleview. The document states the project was delayed due to rising constructions but the proponent now says “the project is back on track and will be proceeding in the Spring 2023”.

Had a pre-application meeting with city staff this week, and making some tweaks before we lock in the floor plan and get renders. Still on track for summer start. Between Canada Day and Labour Day.

23 Harding should be going up this summer. I am renovating 97 Hazen first, which is a supremely rough townhouse, and want that wrapped up by June.
Depending on what I get for those, 32 Harding will follow immediately. No plans yet but I want to go wild design-wise.

Telegraph Journal posted an article about the city providing $800,000 for affordable housing projects.
And for the article image, they've used a new rendering of the affordable housing development by Kaleidoscope Social Impact that's coming soon on Broad Street.

I've just heard chatter that the dinner theater will be closing and will be renovating into a new affordable housing development. Not sure if was mentioned on here before.

That’s definitely a good sign. I saw on LinkedIn about 2 months ago someone had posted they joined Fundy Harbour Group as a coordinator of some type to work on the Fundy Quay project.

It's very much giving 'around the corner from the old Woolworth's'.

I'd assume it's the dinner theatre on Exmouth.

Yes because the Water St one would be prime for high end apartments if they ever went that route.

When I look at the quality of the city hall renovations I think we will be pleased with the final outcome. I’ve read some posters on here commenting on rumours of city hall issues. Well I have also heard that tenancy is going well and I know 2 large firms who are moving in. The CHS operations should also take up a significant portion of the building as well as drive foot traffic uptown and in the pedway.

It’s nice to read some positivity for once regarding these projects…

The developers have actually only had control of Fundy Quay for *less than a year* now. We owe them a fair chance to prove they can get things going.
