Its a logo change. It was yellow and black. Now its a red and silver railroad track in the shape of an 'A'.
I think the logo is a brilliant nod to the site's important railroad history. The "A" logo is formed by a Wye junction, which is also called a triangular junction. The graphic designers nailed this one, in my opinion.

I love how the ‘A’ is surrounded by what appears to be parking space striping in the logo, a nod to the history of the gultch being a major center for parking in the region.
Centennial Yards Company has scheduled a celebrity-studded groundbreaking ceremony Thursday to mark the beginning of construction on the megaproject’s first two ground-up buildings, a pair of mid-rise towers that will stand across the street from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

I think it's supposed to reflect how the different street greeds oriented away from the site: Fairlie Poplar to the north, the rest of Downtown to the east, Castleberry Hill/former Lighting neighborhoods to the west.

I "peek" at it about once a week trying to find a way to run across. Has been completed for over a month now and just sitting securely fenced off.
Seems odd that it is soooooo w i d e for a pedestrian bridge. Hope they aren't entertaining the idea of turning it into a car bridge sometime in the future.

The bridge width is great and honestly probably the standard our pedestrian spaces should be instead of being routinely narrow.
IMO, push for Nelson St to be pedestrianized including across the surface lots to Broad St SW & Peachtree.
Make it completely pedestrianized from Castleberry Hill all the way to Five Points. I’d bet it would replicate the success of the BeltLine however for Downtown.

I know, but being ATL if a car can fit you turn it into a parking space or a lane or both.
