In the 60's it seemed in the fall a lot of people used to look forward to the car commercials to see what "new" cars were coming out on the market. I recall people talking about the new models and such. It seems when the '70s rolled around this started to disappear. Or was I not noticing? Do car companies still put out a new model each year?
The cars coming out in yesteryear seemed to be different and distinctive each year. Noticeable. I remember a couple from the '70's like the Gremlin, Pacer and Accord. In the '60s I recall the advertising for the Corvair, the Impala, the Mustang, Cougar and a 1969 Pontiac GTO called The Judge, which seemed only to come in orange and apparently was named after the popular Laugh-In phrase "Here Come de Judge." The advertisements would say that and things like All Rise for the Judge. If you wanted extras for the car it would say "the best way to appoint a judge." Also:
