I actually didn't know it was Austin. I was intrigued and started guessing some mid sized cities and googling them. Like 10 cities. Even though I was sure half of those were not it since I had been to them but I was running out of ideas. Then I realized you can do an image search with google just by outlining the image with the mouse and letting google do its thing. It would probably be another 5-8 guesses before I landed on Austin. And this isn't the best angle either. There are better ones the city looks even bigger.

I have worked with several people at Starlight on deals over the years and for the next one I do, I'm going to have to bring this up with them for a laugh. Actually, tomorrow I'm doing a review on one of their properties in Oshawa, but won't be corresponding with anyone on that. Even if they used just a pic of that property alone as their banner image it would make more sense than using Austin.

The downtown core viewed from across the lake featuring 160 Front Street West (TD) u/c. Interesting how the lake appears to rise above the bottom half of the towers. Pinnacle's super-tall SkyTower will join this view near the far right of the photo.

The only four I could ID without captions are TO, Niagara, Hamilton and Sauga. I might have been able to guess Windsor.

That Edmonton suburb actually looks really nice. Also interesting angle. Harder to identify Stantec from that side. It almost looks like a midsize American city.

The more I see of Edmonton on here the more I like it. There have been some really great shots of Edmonto posted on here.

Surprisingly, this picture was taken from a fairly central community, Griesbach. Land was set aside, on what was then out-of-town, in the 1940s for a Canadian Forces Base — in time, Edmonton grew around it.

C.F.B. Griesbach was used until the early 2000s when most operations were transferred to C.F.B. Edmonton. Since then the land's been slowly redeveloped into a low- and mid-density neighbourhood. It's pretty interesting in terms of an urban context, given that it's surrounded on all sides by neighbourhoods from the '50s and '60s.

Great shot, but too bad the photographer didnt pan just a little more to the right to show all of the towers, not just ice district.
Just being nit picky

I imagine CFB Rockcliffe, currently being redeveloped in Ottawa as Wateridge Village, will have a similar feel.

I forget how compact Edmonton is, with the built up area being about 15 kilometers deep around Downtown.

Ottawa is a sprawly mess in comparison, where suburbs stretch 20 to 30 kilometers away from the core, partly due to the Greenbelt.

Halifax aerials from a new condo listing. In the lower right corner of the 2nd shot you can see the shell of the Dennis building which is being preserved and incorporated into the new Press Block development. Not an overly exciting design:

This is one of four marinas and this is the smallest which is much larger than in the photo. We can't have all marinas on the waterfront as we had to leave room for cruise ships, and some are huge cruise ships at that
