This may be “structurally” topped out, but it’s still getting taller. Does anyone have the elevations on hand as I’m way too lazy to scroll through 157 pages.

Nice pics Urbannizer! Now that I’m seeing it, I like how the crown doesn’t take up the entire top of the tower, if that makes sense.

With Meta backing out of the lease in this development, they could save some cash by throwing up some prison fence for the crown. Re-branding as The Codependent all the while claiming it as paying homage to the previous city tallest. All in support say aye.

I agree. The crown with those pillars sticking up is giving Independent crown vibes.

Finally got to see this beast in person. Looks humongous up close as you approach it from the north on G street.

Came to Austin down 35N and spotted it first on exit 248. Probably would've have seen it earlier if I was paying attention.

Just a great bldg!

I do a lot of work in DFW and occassionally drive up to Georgetown to visit my son, his wife and my new baby grandaughter. (my first grandchild)

I feel like I can see it offin the distance near westinghouse road of I-35 ni Georgetown. I won't know for sure until they light that thing up at night where it is easily identifiable.

I've been living in DFW for the last 2.5 years working on a couple masters degrees and make the drive around 10 times annually - since the building approached topping out earlier this year, I've been seeing it in the distance southbound around the SE Inner Loop overpass/approaching the Westinghouse exit. Not sure what the straight-line distance is, but's about 27 miles from DT on the interstate.

What interested me most is that when I saw 6X so clearly peaking above everything else, I noticed that you can see the tops of several of our tall buildings that far out - for me there just wasn't enough contrast on the horizon to distinguish our skyline the past couple years until now, but it's been visible. Off topic - maybe just because it's home, but there is something very special about seeing our city increasingly peek through and over the hills when returning from the North Texas plains. The suburban sprawl in Wilco on the other hand... reminds me of DFW sprawl. Also the North Burnet skyline is also very noticeable and exploding with greater density each time I make the drive.

Also, congrats on your first grandkid!

I live in Georgetown - you can definitely see it from SE Inner Loop and Westinghouse, but there are a few other high spots where you can see it also. I'm always amazed.

I remember driving down probably 183 shortly after the Austonian was finished and I could see it from way up north...and I couldn't recall having ever seen downtown from that far north. It's strange to watch our city grow vertically.

I have been hunting a lot out our place in Fayette county. This thing is noticeable from that Pecan stand with the big sign off 71 - I believe it's about 21 miles out. Around the corner is the McDonalds and Valero that says 19 miles to Austin.
