yeah, that built form would look ginormous to someone from Vancouver. It's two condos (Minto Westside) and a rental building (39 Niagara) with about 1200 units total.

Not exactly run of the mill for Toronto either.

That's 3 seperate buildings? Doesn't look like it. Your neighbours windows look like they would be 20 feet away.

I love that development personally. It's bulky but I don't mind.

The built form is fairly common. The huge scale is not.

The best i can put it on this day I'm having is that it's one structure consisting of three individual properties. I just don't know if the halls connect to each property which, I personally, would consider one property.

This condo can't be more than a ten foot gap between each wing

The framing on that Calgary shot is excellent, I can't imagine how long that photographer waited for that shot.

Beautifully framed shot of Calgary.

I seen that train in the Port Coquitlam yard yesterday morning all lit up. Made the commute a little nicer through that bland stretch of Lougheed Highway.

As a pedestrian I assume? I can't be paid enough to live in one of the inward facing units. Courtyards that small shouldn't be more than 4-5 stories tall. The 2nd runner up for most-oppressive quality of life is that cluster at Bathurst/Adelaide

I don't hate that. It has this weird urban quality/proximity that I kind of like. I'd rather that than a balcony higher than 25s with nothing else facing or surrounding. As long as it's not twenty more storeys up of that and you're able to get some decent sunlight then it's probably fine.

I seem to recall a U shaped building on Pacific in Vancouver with a partial glass bottom pool that had inward facing suites.

Just the hallways have windows facing each inner-side of the "U". The rest of the building has plenty of space to breath.
