stowe, vt

stowe, vt -- sept 2022

stowe mountain resort

stowe the alchemist brewery -- they love their craft beer in vt

stowe

i dk anything about snow skiing, i went a couple times as a high schooler to brandywine and boston mills, no mountains in the cleve of course, so it's all about valley skiing, and that was enough, but anyway if you are into skiing and a little ski history they said stowe was the first resort in the americas and nosedive was the first ski run --

last but not least, we both hate ice cream, but come on, you have to stop at ben & jerry's!

Indeed. I went to school at UVM and skied at Stowe and Sugar Bush. When the snow is good, the skiing at Stowe is as good as anywhere.

for the record it's mount mansfield -- per wiki:

4,395 feet (1,340 m) above sea level

Located in Mount Mansfield State Forest, the mountain is used for various recreational and commercial purposes. "The Nose" is home to transmitter towers for a number of regional radio and TV stations. There are many hiking trails, including the Long Trail, which traverses the main ridgeline. In addition, the east flank of the mountain is used by the Stowe Mountain Resort for winter skiing. A popular tourist activity is to take the 4.5-mile (7.2 km) toll road (a steep, mostly unpaved road with several hairpin turns) from the Stowe Base Lodge to "The Nose" and then hike along the ridge to "The Chin."

Nice pictures! I've wanted to see Stowe and see an old-school ski town.

Isn't Ben & Jerry's in Waterbury?
