The Green Fresh supermarket is almost empty. I'd imagine we can expect some work on site sometime soon.

I'm still so confused about this project. It appears to be all white and/or light gray spandrel panel walls, with charcoal brick on the podium only. Anyone else have a feeling the project will end up very different than the renders?

That Beer Store would have a line up out the door at opening time every day. I guess a lot of people will be hoofing it up to St. Laurent or risking their lives in the sketchiest LCBO in Ontario.

I really despise this project. Could have so much better ground floor integration (second building has zero commercial it looks like), and not look like it was designed with no care.

"Alright lads, select grey and black and let's get to work".

Montreal Rd has so much potential, there's already so many things planned for it - I wish this created more integration for walkability and was designed better.

It's absolutely mental that this huge project became an RLA project right next door to an even larger RLA project. Vanier is going to be RLA copy-paste city. A paradise for Charcoal, Gray and White brick lovers.

Site sure looks different with the plaza gone. Taken from the SW corner of the site, by me (Sept. 7)

There seems to be quite a bit of change in the podium facade design based on the promotional "artist's rendering" being shared by Main + Main, Equiton, and on the big "Coming Soon" sign at the site:

To compare: Here's another older render I hadn't seen previously:

there is so much more potential for more green space/terrace. the terrace is literally 20% of the roof space. I wish there were a sort of mandate for green space on podiums like this sort of like France.

That looks far better. Hoping M+M can pull this and 400 Albert off.

With phase one taking up only the furthest portion of the parking lot from the former plaza, I wonder why they tore down the plaza right away. It could have been like Westgate or Elmvale, keep the tenants in place until the next phases necessitate demolition of the retail.

Podium in this updated render looks much better, the towers? It's a toss-up... I liked the early design with the balconies (would've been something different for Ottawa) but again, will have to see quality of materials to make final judgement.

Mud slab was poured for the crane pad last week. The bedrock is brutal on this site, might see some delays on this project.

The first tower crane should go up first week of December.

I think there is only one sub-grade parking level on this one. Too tired to scroll back. Shouldn't be much of a bedrock delay.
