Thanks for the photo but I do hate this view of the skyline, as it goes from nothing to super-packed. There is no gradual build-up/stepping from the sides. Brentwood looks much better east-west.
I am actually impressed where it's at. It's going to start rising too. Isn't that the office tower?
No, Tower 3 is another condo tower.

I was actually thinking that it adds height to the south side of the cluster from this angle.

It looks like Manhattan when the WTC twin towers were still sticking around. IMO, I don't see why every Canadian skyline needs to be a dome-shape.

Not sure if this has been addressed before, but are SkyTrain column concrete slabs always this massive this deep into the ground or have they been continuously reinforced, as they went on with the excavation? It seems like total over-engineering to have them that bulky anywhere else than here.

Makes sense. Still pretty incredible how they are able to keep such massive slabs from moving or collapsing under active rail traffic. I wonder how they connect to parkade floors and if they may transmit any of the SkyTrain vibrations to the building structure? Probably too massive for there to be any vibrating.
Great question, I would think the columns have been extended as excavation occurred, but not 100%. No way those footings were unearthed like that, but I am surprised to see them so large in diameter the entire way down. Must be some pretty extreme lateral loads being applied on the below grade column.
