Wow! Could they not have had a variety of patterns for their pre-cast panels? Putting the same pattern beside itself, over and over, just makes it look so fake.
Repetition can certainly be used for dramatic effect, as shown in this image of DND HQ:

But to simply replicate a single pre-cast panel and expect it to give the idea of ‘old-style’ wood forms is misguided. Even the shading of each of the panels is identical.
Maybe I'm not giving the architect enough credit. Perhaps there are a number of different patterns , but the installer simply installed all of one pile before moving on to the next pile - resulting is clusters of 'sameness'.
[This happened to us. The guy installing our 'Flag Stone' look pathway just plunked down the interlock stones, seemingly without thought of pairing up duplicates. It looked terrible when he left. My wife had me tear up the whole thing and then she directed me as to where the stones should be placed. When it was finished, it looked great. The 'randomness' of the layout makes it very hard to realize that there were only a limited number of unique patterns.]
