Impressive I must say. Every one of the "lines" on the building goes dim, with the exception of one line at the top, middle, and bottom. 5 bars run up and down the building. Nice effect.

Okay, lighting on this tower is next level for Metro Vancouver, although it might be a bit too much for my taste. They have definitely tried to find a good balance with it, but I wonder how it is to live next to?

For those in the know, does this building have an option for fast chargers for EVs? I know a few parking spots have the 240v outlets on the walls, but for faster charging a full charging bay system is needed, right? Sorry, bit of an EV newb here!

Most EVs will charge using 240V @ 32A (need a 40A circuit). That's what's called "Level 2" charging and what people would put in their garage, etc.

This gives you about 7kW of energy per hour. Typical EVs will get a full charge overnight with this (like 0-100% which isn't something you need every night).

It's plenty. You could also get by on half of that (240V @ 16A) if necessary.

Does anyone know why Concord Buildings, including this one, have their A/C chiller system only come on when the outside temp is above 10c? West facing properties are going to warm up on sunny days, even when its in the <10c range, and A/C will be required to run COLD.

An update... the A/C chillers are finally being "fixed", so that the A/C actually works for a change.

Hot water is in a semi-broken state, often fails after a power outage.

Elevators are having continual issues with people getting stuck in them. Needs a major maintenance overhaul.

Elevator breaks have been adjusted so they are no longer making massive banging noises when engaging.

Some planned amenities are still not complete due to COVID labour/parts shortages.

I wonder how other new peak COVID-time condos are doing?

Do you have in unit heat pumps?

Some systems can only be heat or cold since they are 2 lines running to the heat pump (in and out). In the winter they circulate hot water, in the summer they circulate cool water.

They have to make a call when to flip these, and it's outdoor temp based. It can get a bit awkward with those surprise hot or cold days.

My system is like this. It's obviously cheaper.

Not sure if its a heat pump, but it sounds like it from your explanation. My system does switch because hot or cold water. I was told the chillers won't kick in until its 10C or higher outside, but this hasn't been working properly due to some parts failures that are being repaired currently. It's very frustrating for a new building..

The bedroom layout there is a bit funky, but the rest looks OK.
