Fair point. However, It's been many times in the past couple of weeks asking whether these proposals are from Toronto. The reposted, custom urbantoronto thread headers should be familiar by now. This is just to make a point as if the amount of work that goes into one of these posts doesn't deserve a little leeway. People post photo of cities all the time without a city location label

I like that 550 Adelaide East will block out that monstrosity behind it from some views, 120 Parliament Street. IMO it's the ugliest condo to go up in Corktown, nothing comes remotely close to it.

Here is the first official proposal for the new Portlands area. If this was released today I would expect a a flood of other proposals to be relesed in the coming weeks for the area.

I don't like it, at least it's Quandrangle though so the use of materials should be good.

even more reason to simply write the location of the projects we are posting. Why is that so hard? It's a simple courtesy.

I find it totally arrogant that we're all just supposed to assume projects are from toronto unless otherwise notified. This is not a toronto thread. It's a canada thread.

Lol seriously, having driven through every city between Ottawa and Victoria this summer you'd quickly realize that the GTA has more buildings under construction and proposed than the ROC combined. There's no need to be jealous it's just how third world our country's become.

I'm here to look at Canadian proposals. Where they are located matters less. Of course, Not everyone is like me. There's many posts that don't include locations and yet, your last half dozen posts on the matter have all been directed at Maldive. That got my attention.

Nobody from any other city would post something in a Canada thread without saying what city the project is located in. I reply to him because I’m tired of it. It’s disrespectful. This is not a Toronto thread.

Everyone in this thread should indicate the city in which the projects they are posting are located.

That's simply not true that he is the only one. He has taken over this thread since the last guy bitched about too much Toronto content here and not enough in the local thread ( as if they would be mutually exclusive) I'm not necessarily against what you're saying or are you overwealmed with too Toronto content. Your approach is as bad as that other guy though. Good luck there.

Maybe it's simply Toronto ppl are more aggressive? In Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver when I'm jaywalking people politely come to a stop; in Toronto horns blare and they aggressively swerve around you; in Montreal they'll run you over.

I'm guilty at time for not saying the location. I've been on here long enough though to recognize the location of a proposal from a render without needing to read the location.

For me it's fun to guess sometimes.

Yep each region has a distinctive style. Generally if it's awful it's from KW, London, Windsor, Hamilton, Niagara, Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna or Maritimes; generic bland from Ottawa, maybe Halifax, Victoria or Surrey; tall glassy with silly balconies: Lower Mainland. Brick podiums with outrageous height: Toronto. Quirky or mediocre: Winnipeg. Either exceptionally good or really heavy on cladding: Quebec or Montreal
