Signs up for a new Starbucks in Stratford. In new unit closest to the Sobeys. It has a drive-thru.

I saw this coming. It will do very well over there. I find the town is under respected business wise. I believe a Walmart would do well there. If not Walmart, Atlantic Superstore. And much more......

Stratford could easily support a Walmart, Superstore, Kent, Lawtons and a variety of fast food options. There would need to be a new retail area developed to house these big box stores though as I don’t think there is enough space in the current retail area to do so.

There are plans for a new retail area. This will be to the south of the new Roundabout that is currently under construction off Highway #1.

I don't want to encourage further suburban growth in Stratford, residential or commercial. That plan by the Grey Group is better than nothing but it still includes lots of surface parking and car-centric commercial space.

Does anyone know when the Tim's/Wendy's is to move from its location beside Staples n University Ave to over in the mall parking lot on the other side of University Ave for better access in and out?

Is there really that many orders in PEI to justify building a whole warehouse for it? Is there even any Amazon presence in Atlantic Canada at all? I could see there being one in Moncton or Halifax, but not PEI. There isn’t even a Costco here.

Completely agree.
As someone who comes to Charlottetown for school it is very interesting to see the number of prime lots that are left undeveloped here. The lots kitty corner to each other at Euston & Queen come to mind, as well as the lot south of Superstore that just became more parking lot...

This may be a dumb question, but are the green spaces bordered by University, Belvedere, Allen, and Mt. Edward Road actually used for anything? I assumed maybe they were used for agriculture but never actually seen anything personally to prove this.

Green space bordered by University, Belvedere, Allen, and Mt. Edward Road is federal land and the Aboriginals have a say on what happens here. So it will sit undeveloped for decades to come. We've had a fight in this city discussing what will happen on this land and with the lobbying group 'Friends of the Farm' achieving their goal, we will see that green space stay that way for a longtime.

I don't know what this is. Someone in the past had said that Amazon maybe doing something. I'm not sure what it's for and was just putting it out there to see if anyone knew.
