It's over 1000' up...not sure you could see it even if they were open-to-the-air. However, I know what you mean. It would be sad if they were visible.

For perspective, at just over 1,774 feet, One World Trade Center in New York is the tallest building in the nation followed by Central Park Tower in New York standing at 1,550 feet. Nearby, and much lower on the list of tallest buildings in the U.S. ranked by World Atlas, stands the Bank of America Tower at 1,200 feet.

Does anyone know if this building will have a public observation deck on one of the top floors like the Empire State Building, UT Tower, or the Sears Tower? I think that an observation deck at or near the top would be a no brainer here considering the building's height. Other mixed use skyscrapers like the John Hancock Center in Chicago, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and The Shard in London have successfully included observation decks on the top floor and this building should do the same. Observation decks provide a huge source of revenue for a building like this.

I still want a real observation tower with a dedicated CVC. Plop it by the Zach Theatre to piggyback on the Lamar Bridge CVC. If some enterprising billionnaire is reading this, build an observation tower that is also a planetarium in the sky. Kill two birds with one stone.

Agreed, but I certainly think this new supertall should have a public observation deck of it's own.

Yeah, I really think they should re-consider. We're at the point where we really need some sort of observation deck in this city. Even if it's a small public cocktail bar.

An observation deck has to have it's decks open to minors under the age of 21 in Austin considering that these are major tourist attractions.
