East of Toronto, they’re small. Only 2 branches in Ottawa/the NCR (would be more like 8 if proportional to the GTA). Greater Montreal only has 9, which is actually proportionally higher than the NCR. Well, going to BUR instead of LAX didn't work too well for Flair. So far, looks like the LAX flight is doing good enough that Flair already boost YVR-LAX to 5x weekly next spring.

And I remember some article said Swoop applied for LGB slot and was at the top of the waiting list. Now some other airlines recently awarded LGB slot but Swoop didn't get any, I guess they've given up on that as well?

Don't think of HSBC as an Asian bank. It is more British than Chinese. Largest bank in Europe.

Yes it does have a roots in Hong Kong and a strong presence in Asia.

As a Canadian bank it works reasonably well. Given its back office system are all based on international way of doing things it has some things it does a little differently than the other banks. Use to be a customer years ago when I was in Saskatoon.

Personally I've been doing so since 2018 when flying. It's only a few extra dollars to make a tiny bit of a difference.

Yes they're not necessarily used for planting tress or building a solar farm, but helping a rural African community be able to cook meals without the use of fossil fuels (and the cutting down of trees) is still a worthy cause...at least for me personally. I have used less.ca, which is a division of Bullfrog Energy, which itself is a non-profit corporation that re-invests their profits into greening the grid in Ontario. In other words I've only ever gone through a reputable company.

The $18 I've spent thus far isn't exactly going to put me in the poor house as all my flights since using it have been short hops within Ontario.

CBC Kitchener reported the other day that Flair will add six new destinations from YKF, and increase flights to YDF, in the coming year. Excellent news for YKF, if Flair lasts to next year ...

Although the YKF - YDF route seems an odd choice to me.

Lufthansa’s convoluted strategy for…well let’s be honest here…trying to end-run their high labour costs produces interesting outcomes. It has to be the most convoluted airline out there.

Or LH just knows AC is going to clean up on the works and bypass them for transit passengers (see: Dubai/Doha/India service) and they’re focusing on where the money’s at (i.e. elsewhere)

Of course it will. It even goes one step further. UA and AC are sharing revenue on the flight.

AC and LH are in a joint venture for flights over the Atlantic. They are sharing the costs and profits from these.

Given the details of the joint venture are confidential we don't know if it applies to flights via the middle east or direct to India. However I would be surprised if it does.

Whenever I see a non-profit corporation mentioned I say you really have to do your homework. Goodwill stores are non-profit as well but after reading all the facts about their shady practices, I try to give directly to homeless shelters and so on or give the stuff away on Facebook Buy And Sell. Some people say give to the Salvation Army but I don't even know how legit they are.
